This was not what happened exactly. The newer version’s of renpy does not work on win7 that’s not the dev doing it because he felt like it it’s renpy no longer supporting win7. If you choose to use an o.s that’s 17 years old with support that ended 6 years ago you cant expect developer’s to continue to support it forever. Sure modern window’s sucks and is half store front half data farm but there is not a lot you can do about it other than switching to linux, the list of things that no longer work will only grow larger.
