  1. This seems to be a male feminist power fantasy, which is interesting psychologically but not very fun. The tenets are MC is the saviour of women, all other men are stupid and bad (apart from MC’s amputee friend), and the women that the MC has sex with wouldn’t be able to get sex otherwise. e.g. he has another amputee friend (he chopped off her leg, but apparently for a good reason) and she can’t get laid because who would fuck a woman who has one leg? So he takes one for the team and much to her astonishment allows himself to be seduced. He also invested in the company that produces her prosthetic legs, and instead of taking his rightful profits he commits the company to keep providing legs for her. For he is the saviour of women.

    1. You really didn’t pay much attention to the story, did you mate?

First – I’ll agree that I find it off-putting (for those of us with a domineering streak) that he doesn’t accept the title (even in Role Play) of Master. With anyone. Even those actively inclined to Submission. But he’s not a male feminist. He never claimed to be the ‘savior of all women’ and frankly, you can reject the main love interest (it’s not recommended, but you can do it – though I’m not certain as to whether it leads to a game over, as I’ve never bothered to. Kinda pointless in a harem to reject the girl that knows more about magic than you do and can help you survive the politics) or any other love interest you don’t want to see sex scenes with. Whether that leads to a good ending or not, I have no clue. I did tend to follow the recommended paths in the walkthrough mod.

He is properly half Ifreet (sue me if I spelled it wrong) and MAY be a demigod (it was never confirmed as yet that he is or is not mortal – insofar as being divine) His whole deal is more about saving his own hide; and dealing with the world he’s been thrust into. Which he can’t really avoid – as he’s always been the odd one out (due to his heretofore unknown mystical heritage – which also affords him a more open-minded perspective than most people. Not just males) He does manage to engage a disproportionate number of females, and help them with their issues; but the key point therein is that doing so usually and arguably very conveniently alligns with his own goals. He’s not saving them to be their savior; but because helping them helps him attain things he needs to survive in a heavily magical world he’s never been a part of (rather he was always a part of it – but outside forces acted to hide him from powerful individuals who’d use him to their benefit, and crippled him as far as awareness of the magical world goes) before he got inducted forcibly. You do get to marry and breed most females you choose to engage with; but MC is also very much in the position of not having a choice. Since he NEEDS to establish an equal standing in political power, to maintain his survival and the survival of his “house.” He could be indentured to another house otherwise, since there do need to be Sorcerers born in order to maintain stability in the magical world. It is explained in the story – which won’t matter if you’re skipping the dialogue.

The author in question actually has three current games that are re-using (or re-working) the same assets as far as characters. Changing little things in backstory and such. One is Sci Fi, Terminus Reach: Sentinel parts 1 and 2. There is this one, and now Tribulations of A Mage – which is a more classically medieval take on this game. Which frankly bothered me to be cut as short as it was; and says to me there should be a part 2 at some point. Perhaps there will be, but it’s not certain. It did take him a long while to come out with the second part of Terminus Reach, and even that ended rather suddenly, or is wrapping to the ending more quickly than it really should.

I would like to see a second part to this game. About as much as I’d like the dev to stop adding in sex scenes with the Geriatric; or the Ogre/Troll types. Frankly the big muscled titaness, and the big muscled green girl in Terminus Reach were good enough. You didn’t need to make any girl bigger, or less feminine than those two. I’d also like confirmation about the MC’s state of immortality or not. But I may as well wish for a pot of gold at the end of the next rainbow. Since you didn’t read the story well enough to mark what I’ve pointed out, I doubt you’ll bother to read this either. However it’s here in case I’m wrong.

      1. I did read the dialogue, and your reply, but stopped playing when the protagonist got stripped and put into chains. Really don’t care what happens at that point, there’s no coming back from that. Maybe if it had been the greatest game I’d ever played I’d grit my teeth and keep with it, but it wasn’t, so I didn’t.

Of the girls I came across (and this is from memory) the first one is in some Japanese clan and you save her life by shooting ninjas, and she falls in love with you. So far so good, for me that’s the perfect relationship in an AVN, two characters with strengths that balance out each others’ vulnerabilities. I’d personally be happy if it were the only relationship.

Second one is an older lady you make a gold coin for, and she propositions you. That’s fine. But then she starts saying how she finds it impossible to get sex at her age and thanks you for being so charitable. Which is ridiculous: she’s attractive and rich.

Then there’s your old army buddy with one leg, who uses prostheses created by a company you bought, who can’t believe that you’d want to have sex with her. This struck me as very odd, I don’t think there’s a man alive who’d be less attracted to a woman because she had a missing limb.

Then there are two lesbians in your warehouse/apartment who are homeless because they’re lesbian and whom you give $10,000 to…at that point it becomes obvious what’s going on. Hence the ‘saviour of women’.

I was aware this dev had made a lot of games and was hoping I’d like this one, largely from your recommendation of this in another of his games, but I don’t think I can get past his virtue signalling.
