Midlife Crisis [v0.34 – v0.1 Dark] [Nefastus Games]

This game VN would be perfect if it was animated!!! Love the characters and scenes!

I will say the constant word for word song references can get a little annoying. One or two every three chapters would be fine. Any more than that makes it more seem like you don’t know what else to write that would engage the audience.

The male looks odd facially; and there are a couple points in pursuing his goals where what he does and how manipulative he is with the people around him is just straight up evil. I’m glad the option to avoid Cuckolding with Angela is there. I’m also glad of the solo route for Marie (but it would be nice to know if you CAN still safely indulge in a harem of YOUNGER + still BREEDABLE women. The wife’s model is not interesting to me – and while Marie is definitely hot af, her daughter would be the one I’d value = Not Taken; and still definitely viable for breeding) * I’m also not big on the competitive streak with his wife, and some of the comments Marie made in her scene. It rather brings MC’s DOMINANCE into direct question.

Erica didn’t need to be a hooker: she could have been a sex therapist and had the same general skillset and desires with less negative connotation. [I will also say that even though there DID NOT need to be Trans Content – I am glad that if you were going to include it and make a character show up so often in the story, you were smart enough to let players choose whether or not it was Just Friends, or Romance] Some of the women get shunted to the side too much. There’s exactly ONE stated pregnancy so far (and up to that point we had no clue that Sarah is Rock’s daughter – so I truly hope you never intend anything punitive with either character, because that WILL likely piss a good chunk of your audience off if they like and have invested in Sarah) While most of it has been working up to the idea of A) being okay with fucking MC’s own daughters = in the Incest Version; I’m not sure that anything can happen with them if you don’t patch it… or the story is probably off kilter with Landlady/Tenant/Best Friend crap, and B) Having THEM be open about the fact they all really want to fuck MC. Even if his facial model looks off to me.

Corrupting Wife ends up going well – but there are several break points. You do have to be careful what you choose, and they are fairly clearly defined in result. Labeled when important. So that at least is nice. I don’t really think a wife needed to necessarily be involved to start; he could have been divorced as a single Dad. Though there are plenty of games in that vein, so I can at least commend going against that grain. To the end of this current version 34, there’s still a build up to actually building a true Harem = but the framework for it is at least deeply under way. I am hoping that Wifey will not go nuclear when she finds out not only has MC been fucking their daughters… but both of them are pregnant alongside Sarah and the purple haired fit girl (who frankly is DAMMMMMNNNN – Since you like references so much, you should know what movie that’s from)

I’m a little disappointed there wasn’t at least ONE more notice that MC got one of his women preggers. I took the option to finish inside (because I do have a thing for pregnancy content) EVERY time it was available. It doesn’t really do much to warn that it can happen… if it only does with ONE GIRL. Beyond that, I might download this again… but I’d also work on the pacing between story and sex. Blue balls because there’s not quite enough lewd content, with the consequence promised that would spice things up, is not that fun. While sex shouldn’t be the only thing MC wants – it’s NOT all about seeing to the girls’ needs either. There WILL and should be a point where they will all bend in submission because they want sex with him that much; and they know exactly what he does to a point always want. There’s a balance with character investment, in a game that focuses on Lewd content. I understand to a point that it’s about baiting for payments with the sites you guys use to fund these projects, but that only creates another intricate layer. There’s only so far you can push that point, before subs will drop off.

For me, the new character Hailey is going to introduce at some point should be the last one for a LONG while. There’s already Justine, and Meridith and everyone else besides to focus on. Harem doesn’t mean I want to fuck every girl I see. Or whatever troupe the Dev thinks is sexy/funny. It means I want to fuck the most valuable girls to me, for keeps. No matter what number of them there is. Get the main harem built and accepted by all parties involved, shock with at least a couple more pregnancies for scaling, and THEN you can focus on ‘Harem Anime Beach Scene’ stuff – or introduce new characters out the whazoo. I admit, I’m kinda waiting for the game to become “Pokemon: Gotta Breed Em All!”
