You’ll assume the role of a divorced father who hasn’t seen his daughter in years. Now that she’s 18 years old, she contacts you and tells you that she would like to have a “father-daughter” date with you. You’ll have the chance to get to know your daughter better, build a special relationship and why not, maybe convince her to have more “father-daughter” dates with you in the future.
Gameplay: You’ll be making choices between two or more decisions that will negatively or positively affect the outcome of the date and the main story as well. There are two stats (at the moment) in the game: Friendship and Love. You can see them at the top right corner of the screen. Every time you make a choice, you’ll win or lose a point (sometimes more than one) depending on the decision you make. For example, if you choose to stare at your daughter’s ass and she catches you, you’ll lose 1 friendship point. You’ll have to get a certain amount points to advance in the game. If you fail, you’ll have to repeat the date.
Characters: You can choose your name as well as your daughter’s name.There will be secondary characters like your ex-wife, your daughter’s best friend, your coworkers, etc. but the main focus will be on F/D content.
Most fetishes are optional so if you’re not into some of them, you can choose to disable them.

If a choice gives points or is required to see a scene it will be highlighted so you don’t have to worry about missing points or scenes because of dumb reasons. Worst game I ever played
Let me first start by saying this is a GOOD GAME and I recommend it. However, I am going to unleash some criticism on it, because I genuinely got frustrated with it. You have heard of the saying ‘less is more’? Well, that certainly applies to this game. It’s just TOO DAMN LONG! Not only that, but it’s slow, repetitive and confusing.
SLOW. This game would be so much better if the story progressed a little faster. I see what the developer was going for and I appreciate the effort. I DO like stories with a patient build up and reward, but this story just drags on and on and on and on and on… It frustrated the hell out of me! I mean, I play this game with one hand. It’s a porn game. It doesn’t need to be 100 hours long!
REPETITIVE. I really didn’t need to see 50 scenes where the daughter is giving her father a handjob. One is enough. It’s a game; not real life. It takes hours before you move on to something else.
CONFUSING. I had to play this with the in-game chapter walkthroughs, because the choices you have to make to progress the story don’t make sense. As a matter of fact, they might lead to a game over, just not immediately. Sometimes you need to be a decent guy and make morally right decisions when it comes to your daughter and other times you need to be a pervert, without rhyme or reason. I guess you just magically have to guess your daughter’s mood, even if she doesn’t give you any hints.
That said, my gaming experience was as follows…
It started out very promising and I enjoyed it. Then it just dragged on and on and on and I got several game overs, because of my ‘wrong’ choices. This is when I started to play with the in-game chapter walkthroughs. But when Chapter 3 started, I was done. I just fast-clicked through all the text and didn’t even bother with all the repetitive father-daughter sex scenes anymore. I only slowed down for a few scenes I really wanted to read or see. Halfway through, I selected the option to automatically skip all the text. I just couldn’t be bothered anymore. I’ve tried Chapter 4 a little bit, but at that point I already gave up. Perhaps I should play this game again when I have more patience, but as for now I’m done with it. I don’t know how the game ends and I don’t even care anymore.
Pet peeve: The whiteness of the daughter’s weird fingernails. There’s too much white and it freaked me out. I don’t like (fake) long white fingernails. American women typically have this. It grosses me out.
Let me still end this on a positive note, by saying that I appreciate the efforts the developer put into this game, but it just wasn’t for me. Perhaps your gaming experience will be better.

I’m liking Single Again. It’s a slow burn, meaning “can we please get more fucking and less story please” and it will occasionally blue-ball you, but if you don’t mind this then the payoff is grand. Not your stereotypical harem game.
I like DMD more for condensing the story down, making the interplay of “we shouldn’t” and “I want to” while still marginally believable and shorter.
A Petal Among Thorns is the first in a series which is entirely about the youngest daughter seducing her father. It can be taken as a stand-alone game as it starts getting less flirty and more forceful in part 2: A Moment of Bliss, where the second youngest daughter gets involved and several others do too. It’s trying to make a plot of the series and I like the author enough to stick with it.

Usually this means the mod you’re using is not the correct version for the game.
Very good story. The NTR stuff is easily avoidable. You’ll never see the MC’s face which is something I really appreciated because it’s truly a first-person type novel. The animations could have used some more work. A few were really bad, but most were decent. Took me about 20 hours to complete and I usually read fast. Very enjoyable novel. I highly recommend.
But prostitute daughter of SEASON 3 is not avoidable.
