  1. I am not sure where this takes place but in most instances, debts do not pass to children lol, the estate ends in negative means creditors are screwed, not the kids. That is the law all across Canada and I don’t think the US is that different, but probably some States. I just can’t suspend my legal training to buy into this one haha

    1. Perhaps in Canada, but here in the US, if the child of the deceased intends to keep the business, instead of liquidating assets, then the lienholder can petition the courts for a judgment against the estate if the lien isn’t satisfied. This normally forces the child to either, sell the business, or satisfy the lien. Or bankruptcy, which would include either a court ordered debt restructuring and repayment, or asset liquidation, to satisfy the judgment. Most children tend to sell any negative debt, rather than take on the debt. Unless the child has an emotional or sentimental attachment to the business. For instance, if it was a family business, or the person lives above or below the property in question.

Also, it’s just a game, man. Just enjoy it! XD

      1. Ah, it would be cheaper to her to just open a new business though, I didn’t fully explain my reasoning here, yes, businesses are their own entity.

        1. Right?!
I would be so much cheaper, wouldn’t it? XD
Although, IIRC in the game she also lives above the restaurant, so that may be her motivation for keeping the debt. I don’t think it’s ever properly explained in the game, but I’m just going to roll with it because she is beautiful to look at. 😉

    2. Thank GOD there are more countries than Canada…in some (most) European countries, if you can accept or refuse inheritance. Your choice includes assets and depts. So for Childs do have a choice.

  2. Good game, takes a little bit to get going but well written. There are no animations but the visuals are well done. The characters are well defined. I would give this a higher rating, yes it’s grinds some but once it gets going it’s enjoyable. It took me a while to figure out what the hell I was doing but then found that if I clicked the scene icon from time to time it says what’s needed to advance to the next level of each character. This really needs a back button, please DEV add a back button because as we’re clicking away at the script at the bottom of the screen there are popups that happen at times that can be clicked by accident and there’s no way to change it without reloading the save and doing it all over again. In addition adding context to each decision would help making a better choice. Anyway, well written, smart, worth the time in my opinion.

    1. I would love to see a back button too. The writing is witty and smart. The game play is well done too, but the length of time between updates and the renders, need to be updated. Or at least, not so saturated. All in all, it’s a fun read, and I can’t wait for more.
