Story - Home Prisoner offers a tantalizing narrative experience that unfolds gradually, making each choice feel weighty and impactful. For fans of netorare, the storyline's ability to evoke feelings of tension and betrayal adds depth. However, some players might find themselves yearning for faster developments or more interaction with side characters. - 81%
Visual - When it comes to visuals, Home Prisoner shines brightly. The character designs and settings are impressive, significantly elevating the game’s atmosphere. While some players noted that the gameplay was a little lacking, the graphics compensate with their quality, drawing players into this single, immersive location. The renders are not just pleasing to the eye; they help convey the emotional stakes. - 70%
Engagement - Here's where the game stumbles a bit. Although the story draws you in, the actual gameplay can feel restrictive, with limited interaction beyond room-hopping and occasional QTEs (Quick Time Events). Players have expressed frustration over the lack of guidance and interactive elements, making progressing feel like a chore rather than an adventure. - 62%
Core Loop - The core gameplay loop leans heavily on exploration but fails to provide satisfying rewards for the effort. Players often find themselves stuck or aimlessly wandering, leading to feelings of frustration. While the intent to focus on storytelling is commendable, the execution leaves players wishing for a more robust system that rewards exploration and decision-making. - 51%

  1. Another of those games in which NTR can be avoided and there’s supposedly another path, but NTR content is like 90% of the game.

  2. I’d recommend this game when it’s finished years and years down the road. Right now it’s PAINFULLY slow, like the characters are wading through muddy water, you can speed him up slightly, (I forget which key) but overall it’s very, very slow. The music is good, story is well done so far and it’s well put together too, in terms of design and scene designs. But the main problem right now for me is that you don’t know what you’re doing a lot of the time, just rolling around from room to room trying to trigger an event. But yeah, could be really good when finished and polished, time will tell.
