The Anomalous Dr Vibes [v0.18.1] [DrVibes]

I’ve pinned down the problem with Catalina. Gatekeeper is removing the +x permissions after extracting the zip due to it not being notarized. There is a way around this:

Right click on the extracted Dr Vibes app and select ‘Open new terminal at folder’.
Enter: cd Contents/MacOS
Enter: chmod 755 “Dr Vibes”

The app should now fire up ok. Not exactly ideal, but a way around it for now for anyone who would like to get it going on MacOS Catalina. It looks there might be a proper fix in the next release of the Godot game engine all going well!

  1. Game isn’t terrible, but whoever gave it that 90% is an idiot. 88% on Core Loop and it’s a typical sandbox game where you advance by repeating shit over and over because the dev doesn’t want to do real work, and 91% visual for Honey Select models? Dude WTF.

  2. i cant get it to load on my pc, i downloaded it, unzipped it, and tried to run the exe file, and it does nothing, any ideas?

    1. Run it from the command line and see if it says anything. It’s made in Godot, so it’s possible they used C#, which would require the .NET runtime, you could try installing that, just as a guess.
