Good

Story is genuinely excellent — dark feudal/slavery setting with real moral complexity that improves significantly as it progresses
Highly emotionally resonant — called "very underrated" and a must-read by multiple reviewers
Great balance of sex scenes and actual narrative — doesn't sacrifice story for fap content
Memorable, well-developed cast of female characters
Great music that elevates the atmosphere

Bad

Sandbox is essentially fake — feels like a VN awkwardly dressed as a sandbox with no real freedom
Choices rarely matter — most decisions lead to the same outcome
Koikatsu art is polarizing — rough early on and not everyone's taste
Writing starts clunky/cringy before finding its footing — early chapters may push players away
Translation issues in places (non-English dev)
