Good enough game. Story itself is great for adult visual novel. I’m usually not a big fan of war hero MC, but in this game, it is so small part of the story that it does not bother. As writers usually portrait super mega elite unit soldiers kinda ridiculously. But this game is mainly about the important things, like fixing the father-daughter relationship. I also like how the story could go in so many directions. Many of these visual novels lack the goal or they put evil boss or something to make it a story that has ending. Or we players choose a girl or “fuck everything” as a goal. I think it is refreshing to have nice clear positive goal, even when we play with “fuck everything that has a hole” mentality.
Bad part of the game is the writing. I think the dialogue is pretty flat. Sure things happen and there are few emotions too, but mostly it is just your mundane conversations. When something does happen, it is over too fast and then back to talking about food and clothes. Lots of games use nicely small touches, hidden emotions or misspoken words to milk content, even when the base conversation is meaningless. But there needs to be more written than just airhead talking.
At this point there is pretty much zero difference in good guy vs bad guy choises. More like sex scene yes/no -question for now. But it does give good premise for the future.
Visuals are good. Girls have more innocent look than sexy. But there are some really sexy poses that make it worth the “reading”. One sex scene was clearly made with passion and time, but other was there just to move MC’s stats or something. 3,5/5
