Evermore [v0.5.1] [Prometheus]

This one is actually pretty good, I’m enjoying it so far, looking forward to 0.5 and beyond

I will say I appreciate the nod to Norse and Celtic Myth so far (Not too many know of Cernnunos = The Horned/Wild God of The Hunt. Sometimes, I believe, said to lead The Wild Hunt) I’m not sure the Norn ever had individual names, so kudos for that as well. I like the fact that you use a distinct difference between the words Spirit & Soul to define how The MC can be both divine in nature (and the fact divine does not mean infallible – just look at any given storied Mythology for examples) and a “fucktard.” I would debate the difference in the words myself. Spirit is more taken as Intent. Not the essense of. That IS the soul. However it’s a well enough thought out explanation to your game’s plot/power scaling and magical ruleset that I can’t really go too anal about it.

I would point out that at the tail end, they’re set to leave the city they moved to… Hopefully you either intend to move the group firmly into the realms of the gods as MC ascends, or return to that city as the epicenter for the climactic deciding battle. It seems a little jarring in pace to be quite honest, to have the entire story set around moving to that new city, and then suddenly Boom! Fuck This Shit I’m Out… (There’s also the point of exactly what type of Deity the MC is; since at the end amassed believers/lovers/baby mommas to be or not, he’d still have to grow powerful enough to “beat” Dagon (Preferably with his cock… Chloe probably does want her Mom back, and defeated does not have to mean dead. Locked away even harder, for Imprisoned: With A Vengeance is an option is all I’m going to say)

I’d think we’d all want more clarity on which side is Camilla on? Tamia’s reveal at the end also rather puts her loyalties in question. There’s the point that Tia seems like you will build her to being an LI on the character heart screen, but that could be my wishful thinking (though if you do: don’t leave her twin out. Good things come in sets and twins don’t like to be separated) There’s a question of how many females you intend to put into the harem – but I expect the number should grow a bit more to possibly two or three divided screens as the story goes on. I would hope that eventually pregnancies will be covered. Not every child will need to be divine or demigod, so there shouldn’t be a concern about too many immortals. However in Tia’s explanations it also sounded like it could be a good idea to build a new pantheon. Shore up defenses so there’s means to prepare if Dagon ever does come back, or frankly more numbers = better in most senses of war [Since unlike with Athena, you’ve already made a bloodless coupe not really an option]

There’s potential here for a compelling story, for anyone with even a vague interest in any given mythology. Keep up the good work. Though I will say that hopefully you make the harem Immortal – Natalie’s literally at a break point for breeding viability. 35 would have been better than 39 to offer more time to get to the point of full intimate relationship with MC. If you make one of MC’s “protective” instincts about his women to lock down their age once they agree to be his women, it would solve that problem. Remember that the Greeks did not consider Immortal quite the same as God. They were allowed on Olympus, but they had no actual divine rank themselves. Basically it goes: Mortal > Demi God > Immortal > God. To my knowledge only Herakles ever managed the feat of a full ascension to Godhood. Pollux divided his time with Castor between Olympus and Tartarus (again, twins don’t like to be separated ; ) ) so they are probably counted properly as immortal. {Pollux very likely could have ascended on his own; or would simply have been left to immortal state, but he didn’t want his brother to suffer alone}

At any rate, I’ll be looking forward to seeing where you go with the story. Good job so far.
