Dev says they are aiming to release the next chapter in early 2025, so don’t bother looking for it over Christmas. The project is definitely not abandoned, it just seems to take about a year for these big, intricate games to release a solid update.

Is this one abandoned
This is such an excellent example of what an AVN can be when it is shown the proper respect by its creators. The narrative is compelling but not over-complicated, most of the characters are sympathetic and multi-faceted, and the writing is often genuinely funny or moving.
It’s not without its issues – the visuals in the early chapters were underwhelming and the sex scenes often feel a little rushed and perfunctory – but there are very few AVNs that inspire the same level of emotional investment from their audience as this one.
For anyone who, like me, had been putting this one off because they were unconvinced by the preview images above (all of which are taken from the first chapter, before the dev resolved the issues with the visuals) I highly recommend setting those doubts aside. I am now a subscriber on patreon.

These updates are pretty tiny I think. Maybe there is more content if you start over, but it feels as though some stuff is even missing a little bit. Ah well, I do love this game. I will support it when I can.
I really tried to like this one, but apart from your starting off destitute you go to your childhood friend’s house and she immediately jokes about cutting out your kidneys, then castrating you, then her robot dog ripping out your throat, then castrating you again. Also I don’t get why the game seems so obsessed with the woman who did you wrong years ago, like why are you seeing current-day cutscenes of her? Just move on with your life, if you can hold onto your kidneys.

It seems obvious: apart from the initial sex scene the first player action is to sign the contract that takes everything away from the MC (by entering the player’s name). Why would the dev put that in if he didn’t get off on it? Why is the MC given no privacy when he sleeps, and not given the option not to jerk off (where he’s immediately caught)? Because that’s what the dev is into, he likes women being in control of his life. Which is fine.
