Story - Space Journey X offers a captivating storyline that combines adventure, wealth-seeking, and intergalactic romance. While it embraces some "porn-game tropes" with the crew's sexy uniforms and contrived reasons for sexual activities, it never crosses into the realm of absurdity. As the protagonist embarks on a quest to find their way home, players can expect an engaging narrative that unfolds in mysterious ways. The story deserves commendation for its coherence and satisfactory progression, earning a solid score in this category. - 80%
Visual - Space Journey X presents a visually striking experience that will leave players in awe. The unique art style might elicit skepticism initially, but it quickly grows on you, offering a refreshing departure from the norm. The render quality is nothing short of exceptional, showcasing the game's meticulous attention to detail. Impeccable graphics play a crucial role in immersing players in the vastness of space and the allure of its inhabitants. With high-quality visuals, Space Journey X receives top marks in this category. - 83%
Engagement - When it comes to engagement, Space Journey X shines as an actual game within a genre cluttered with mere click-through experiences. It offers a diverse range of gameplay elements, including space combat, economic systems, and trading. Moreover, the enticing prospect of constructing a sex bot factory adds an intriguing layer to the overall experience. However, the game does suffer from a notable grind, requiring significant time investment to accomplish certain tasks. While the gameplay is enjoyable, the lengthy detours and occasional stumbling blocks keep it from reaching its full potential. - 75%
Core Loop - Space Journey X introduces a core loop comprising ship and crew upgrades, trading, space battles, and the pursuit of sexual encounters. The loop demonstrates commendable depth and encourages players to explore the galaxy and expand their interstellar empire. However, the game's progress is often hindered by the need to backtrack frequently, which can be frustrating and time-consuming. If the developers streamline the core loop, reducing the necessity for tedious travel, the game's overall experience would be vastly improved. - 65%

Thank you for the fast upload, was waiting for this update. You guys are the best!
Quite a boring game ~ maybe I didn’t understand, I’ll write a personal opinion, at first you can’t get normal currency and you have to fly and look for events to get resources to sell. I played and deleted it because I was tired of farming
I remember I found some kind of exploit where you can buy from the normal people and sell to the pirates for massive profits where it’s obvious you’re not supposed to do that, but even with that it was still incredibly grindy. So much potential though with the spaceship customisation and the bots, and I like the BDSM spaceship crew stuff, even though it’s difficult to unlock anything. I gave up on this when I played an earlier version but might give it another go, certainly seems to have a lot of potential.
Update: replayed this, the exploit is you can buy from the scrap trader in the pirate base, and sell at the console on the ship while at the pirate base. If you do that with subsystems you can get e.g. 2 million for a Mk II torpedo launcher. The game actually has an ending, which I was surprised by, but the content isn’t fleshed out at the moment. Still, what’s there is fun, excluding the grind. I am very impressed someone managed to implement this in Ren’Py, there are all kinds of actual game systems: combat, trading, ship systems, customisable sexbots. Worst part was where you’re short of AI cores, which you can’t buy but need to progress, but eventually you get a glut of these.
Previews with massively oversized heads make it look more like a Thunderbirds remake than a sexy game…
First off let me start by saying this is an awesome little game. Despite being skeptical of the art style at first, you get used to it pretty quickly and it looks really good. The girls look great, the renders look great and the animations also look great but there aren’t many. You can repeat them as much as you like but they are quite limited in number. Each girl has like 3 or 4 that you see from exactly one angle and that’s that.
Let’s get to the bad parts that really got on my nerves. The grind is REAL, I’ve never played any game ever, where I had to grind as much as in this game. Then there’s this constant “wait 3 days” crap and while you can skip time hour by hour, it becomes annoying. If there were side missions or something with which you could occupy your time, I wouldn’t mind but there’s not. What am I supposed to do while I’m “waiting”? Yes I know, corrupt the girls. I’ve already reached the limit on that for most of them, at least for the time being. How far you can take them depends on the story, which you are “waiting” on, or clicking some skip feature to skip a few days one hour at a time.
I’m in the Voron system now, there are no missions, just waiting for everything. I had to wait 2 days when I got to the system before I could do anything, waiting on them to “notice my presence”. Then I waited on the MK3 weapons that were supposed to be sold to me until I got tired of skipping days hoping they would appear on the market. Then I made a deal with some people and waited another 3 days. Afterwards I returned to the girl who told me about the MK3 weapons that never appeared on the market, and she needs another 2 days to analyze the data. What the actual fuck? Like most games, lots of potential but needs a lot of work, the dev is off his rocker.
BTW, the adult content’s focused upon corruption, submission, exhibition, and harem.
This is a full on game, with rewarding adult content to work towards. There’s quite a lot of content, and more and more things become available as you progress. It has its own look and unique models, which are all done really well and are a refreshing change. Each aspect of the game is well-thought-out and a lot of care and work has been put into it. Combat, for example, is tactical and engaging, and there’s a smooth progression of missions and objectives throughout as you seek your wealth, power and more women. I’ve been playing it for days and am probably just 3/4ths through, if I were to guess. So at V1.0 there’s A LOT of content. It feels polished. Good dialog, characters all with their own personality and quirks.
Those looking to get off will probably be frustrated. Those looking primarily more for fun and a good game will get sucked into it. Enjoy.
You’ve sold me on it, it’s nice to find a decent indie game every once in a while.
This game has too much gridding.
I agree but it’s funny nevertheless.
