Story - The premise of My Shameless StepMom revolves around the player's character searching for their missing father, which is not particularly original. The execution of the story falls flat. The writing feels amateurish, with numerous spelling and grammar errors that detract from immersion. (v. Final) There is a quickmenu in the dialogs with auto and skip. The game has music and sound effects. The background of the environments is animated and the characters in the foreground are animated, which is cool. You navigate by clicking on the doors. And when you leave home, click on a map in the corner of the screen. The task appears in the top corner as a sheet of paper. You are FORCED to go where the task tells you to go. You can go to other places on the map, but they will be empty. which gives the impression of having no choices and being in a kinetic story. It has a menu where we can see the affection status with each character varying from good (green) to bad (red). But I don’t think it changes events much.
Just out of practically nowhere, when you are talking to a woman, you enter a game mode where you can choose the position and angle of animated sex scenes. It has sound effects and moans. But there is no sexual progression or choices. The scenes are already there and you just choose which one to see and from which angle. The animation isn’t bad, but the girls’ 3DCG isn’t the best. The game doesn’t create anticipation for these scenes because it’s all very poorly written. I just stopped playing right from the start. The writing is not good, the story is not engaging, the dialogue is not good, sexual progression is non-existent. It’s all very automatic and I don’t like kinetic stories, much less a bad one with renders with women who aren’t hot because 3dcg is precarious. It’s not like Apocalust which is basically a kinetic story but the women and situations are very sexually exciting.
