This is awful. A pathetic no talent, lazy MC that doesn’t have any unique skills apart from ‘seeing how people truly are’ understand their thoughts and motivations. The story ought to be about the another as the MC drifts through life and others help him, why? Who knows. Then he miraculously is given the gift of… loss of fat/weight and give him an trim athletic look.. I gues flabby people can never attract a love interest or can never feel worthy of people’s affections, well thanks for that propaganda.
This has done more damage to vampire lore than the Twilight series. Since when does turning someone into a vampire improve their mood and control their behaviour?! Sure they wouldn’t desire alcohol, but there’s no panic over the massive change of life, giving up family, friends, hobbies, the self revoltion about needing blood and the worry they’ll attack someone they care about…. nope! There isn’t a real protagonist in this story, or at least it isn’t the MC. He can aimlessly walk through the streets as much as he llikes. I can’t expunge this whole concept out of my mind quick enough: If only I could imagine away the MC and have Irina as the fMC.
