Story - While there’s a dash of charm in the premise of a whimsical dating simulation in a fantasy realm, the execution falls flat like a pancake after a long night. The dialogue is reminiscent of someone attempting to write romance after binge-watching too many cheesy teen dramas while not having lived any of it. The writing often strays into the territory of unintentional comedy. - 45%
Visual - On the bright side, the aesthetics are where *Fantasy Date* truly shines. The character models and animations are well-crafted and imbued with an attention to detail that displays the developer’s dedication. Each character is designed with an appealing flair, showcasing a vibrant color palette that breathes life into the game world. The animations are fluid, making interactions visually engaging. - 82%
Engagement - While the game presents a mildly intriguing dating setup with animated interactions, the engagement factor often feels overshadowed by its simplicity. Faced with binary choices in conversations, players may find themselves missing the thrill of true decision-making, leaving them yearning for more dynamic options. The lack of depth in emotional or narrative consequences makes it hard to stay fully invested. - 50%
Core Loop - The core loop of *Fantasy Date* revolves around the repetitive cycle of engaging with characters through choices and experiencing animations. While this loop has a semblance of potential, the lack of complexity and variety makes it feel more like a chore than an enchanting romp. - 58%

  1. i feel like a similar effect could be achieved by just playing koikatsu, but if you really need the narrative to string you along, well… there isn’t one in this game either. really just in this for Kitagawa i guess.

  2. HA HA! Globiohomo took a big hit. I keep telling you. Eventually faggots will be forced back into the closet. It has to be or society will be destroyed. The whole world will not bow to globohomo death cult.

  3. This is typical globohomo grooming garbage. Everything looks normal from the pics but it has the trans fag tag.
