What is this?
This is a crack to unlock the Patreon chapters and Platinum Bonus Scenes for Shale Hill Secrets and Streaming For Love.

Instructions:
1 – Download and place version.dll in the same folder as Shale Hill Secrets vX.XX.X.exe/Streaming For Love vX.X.X.exe.
2 – Optional. You might want to block this game in the firewall as it constantly pings google analytics. (As far as I can tell, as of v0.9, it only logs menu clicks and game choices)
3 – Open the game and you should have all Platinum Bonus Scenes and be able to play up to the latest chapter.

How many in game data do i have to download. I’ve already download 3 gb of in game data but still nothing. It first said 500 mb but soon enough it starts to increase and it’s not stopping after 3000 mb.

Premise for the game is really interesting. It does give nice ideas of how to use this spying power. Other characters are unique and fun to interact. Sexual tension is also nicely different with every girl. Sex scenes are visually good.
Bad:
Every girl is identical, with just different hair. After seeing one sex scene, you have seen them all.
Story starts well, but turns to “Danny the Detective and mystery of missing phone”. Every chapter has new “teen detective” -story. Stories don’t give anything sexual to table.
Conversation options are only to ask if you wanna see sex scene. Most of the choises are meaningless.
95% of the game is talking avatars in front of green screen.
Handicap MC without giving anything to sex scenes or the story.
This is more of a teen detective story with sex scenes, than adult visual novel. 2,5/5.

I like the art style, myself, and the story has kind of caught me and the “Straight Pride” guy in the game makes me laugh with his innocence and tweaking the nose of expectations. There are people who are pure in their joy, and that’s fun to see portrayed here.
The story’s core premise is not at all realistic but the fallout and things that happen around those story beats are more real, making this a game more about Story than Porn. No worries if that’s not your thing.
The inconvenience of setting up each update has turned me off this for now, just like Ray, but I’m sure I’ll be back.

They obviously used their own engine and the chapter separation in order to have a paywall that’s actually a paywall and not instantly available on sites like this. RenPy is so ubiquitous, that also means there’s always going to be someone who will crack it.
That’s obvious af because their engine works almost exactly like RenPy except for the Patreon login & chapters.
Putting some work out there for free gets you some attention, for sure, but statistically, devs who charge a reasonable amount end up getting a lot more for their work, and it is a ton of work.
