    1. It’s actually well done, you can easily choose who you want to have relationships with and who you want to stay friends with. you’re not forced into anything.

  1. Anyone else having trouble advancing Bai’s storyline?
I’m stuck on 2 hearts, & can’t seem to get him to engage…?

  2. The storyline is okay, the animations are pretty good, but it feels more like a collection of side-stories. Other than the odd occasional the side characters don’t really mingle and some can be completely ignored as have no bearing on the main story. However, I found myself wanting to max stats, unlock all the available ‘things’. The system used for this, while not aesthetically pleasing, does awaken the completionist in me and kept me romancing characters I wouldn’t otherwise after I’d completed everything else. The hints system makes the sandbox less of a chore, but it basically straight up tells you what to do rather than hint.

One thing I will say is that the main menu render almost put me off, after playing, I don’t think that was the best choice of characters for it, but, don’t fall for that trap… and that’s just my opinion, we all have our own tastes when it comes to these types of games.

I do like that I can turn romantic options off for certain characters, for me that was the stepmom, trans woman and gay dude. This doesn’t necessarily stop you from talking to them or getting to know them better (unless you turn them off before you meet them) but stops it progressing into anything romantic. It’s a good system, that allows the developer to be inclusive of a number of different genres without alienating those that aren’t interested in them. For instance, don’t let the #gay tag put you off, you can just turn the gay dude off. Don’t like the design of a specific character? Turn them off!

The romantic options themselves are quite varied, it’s a good mix of different character types, body builds, social backgrounds and race.

Mari & Nora are best girls.
