Story - The narrative in **A Crown of Thorns** attempts to weave a tale within a cyberpunk-reminiscent world, dabbing at themes typical of fantasy while spiraling into the realm of eroticism. Players step into a fantasy ecosystem filled with knights and magical elements, yet the story feels childishly simplistic at times. Choices exist, but with limited impact. - 65%
Visual - If the story's potential suggests a gleaming crown, then the visuals might resemble a tarnished relic. An overwhelming sentiment from critiques highlights the art as a significant Achilles' heel of the game. Characters sport odd, zombie-like expressions that can veer into the comical rather than the erotic. Faces are poorly realized, contributing to a disorienting experience. - 42%
Engagement - When you fire up **A Crown of Thorns**, you'll soon discover that excitement ebbs and flows like a castle's drawbridge—sometimes easily crossed, other times almost sealed shut. While the game does allow a bit of exploration and player choice, the lack of meaningful consequences to decisions can lead to a sense of detachment. This is compounded by clunky mechanics, such as an auto-speed feature. - 50%
Core Loop - The core loop—intercollected choices driving the narrative forward—struggles to maintain momentum in **A Crown of Thorns**. Sure, you’ll navigate a series of dialogues and decisions, yet the repetitiveness and simplistic nature of these choices can quickly become repetitive. Many players have reported completing the content in under three hours. - 45%

  1. Damn, I thought I saw all kinds of bad graphics after watching this project, how wrong I was, this is a new level of the shittiest picture!

  2. It looks like shit and the textbox is half the screen. I could not bring myself to read the story, it’s so boring you risk to fall asleep. If the movie is like this, i doubt they make a buck with it.

  3. You do realize if the story of this movie is in active development (no matter how many awards you say it’s won so far – and I press X to doubt it has, if it’s not even FINISHED yet…) then all you are doing by trying to create a “prequel” in a different fucking medium is UNDER-CUTTING the damned movie. Right? At best from your renders if they’re anything like the film I’d say it’s going to be a B movie. It doesn’t look a damned thing like blade runner; and you’ve actually made it look more like Rebirth, so it’s probably more a cross of a bad take on Blade, and whatever the hell else you want to ascribe it as “sci fi.”

I’m not sure I’ll give this a try, as the ONLY reason Sebastien should be stunned by the woman in the photo above would be that her tits are so massive they literally don’t fit the dress. (Great job on realistic proportions by the way – and GUESS what Sci Fi as a genre means = you have to be grounded in what is realistically possible one day. If not probable) Fuck. Me. If you can’t even draw a female’s proportions correctly, I doubt very highly any soft science you come up with to explain whatever “super/preter” natural elements there will be in your story.

    1. See? U can give a fucking valid opinion when ur not crying like a toddler bout sum shit u dont like like “WHY ISNT SHE IN THE HAREM!!!! IT IS AN HAREM GAME!! LET US CREAMPIE!!!”
Shit I may be even proud of u lil bro, well done

    2. Though I like “the uncomfortability of silence” from the screenshots. That could be the title of a PKD novel.
