I learned something years ago. people got different tastes. Story is all about relationship drama inside the family. Whole father arc was way too over the top for me. We get the point that the father is asshole without making him cartoon evil. But MC can not affect that story, so i didn’t feel bad to skip all the father conversations. Didn’t feel like i missed anything. Not having clear main story or goal, does kinda create story of “fuck what you want and drive to sunset if shit will hit the fan”.
If you skip the father parts, rest of the writing is really well done. I really like how conversations are suggestive and meaningful. Popsicle eating scenarios are good sample how to make small mundane interraction a great ones. This game does great job by keeping it interesting, without introducing too sexual content right away. But some cleavages, tight pants, sexy dresses, wandering hands etc would have been nice. If character backstories are reason for these things missing, then i would say that the setup for the story is bad. Every good adult visual novel should have some eye candy outside sex scenes. In my opinion.
Those few times when someone did have bikini, underwear or something, were not that amazing. Would have probably helped if the woman would be more beautiful. Not ugly or bad bodies, but just normal ok looking overall. Visuals do get better as the story continues and so do the sex scenes. Writing also have major part in sex scenes and make them even better. There are many games with great visuals, but having meaningful writing during/around sex scene does make them so much better. Don’t remember any pure vanilla sex scenes without somekind of spice in it. If there was, great writing did fix that issue. 4/5
