Download Save Transfer Bugfix
If you played the early Patreon release of Chapter 9, there’s an important issue to address. Unfortunately, a bug has been discovered that prevents your decisions and save files from being transferred to Chapter 10. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but the good news is that this bug is easily fixable. Here’s how to resolve it:
How to Fix the Bug
Step 1:
Load the main save file that you plan to transfer to Chapter 10.
Step 2:
Play the game up until the point where the main characters are on the airplane at the end of Chapter 9.
Step 3:
Save the game before the end of Chapter 9 is shown. This step is crucial!
Fixing the Issue on Different Platforms
There are two ways to proceed depending on your platform:
For Android Users:
- Go to my itch.io page and download the updated version of Chapter 9.
- Update your app with this version.
- Load the save file you created in Step 3 and play until you return to the main menu.
- Congratulations! Your save is now fixed.
For PC/Mac Users:
You have two options:
Option 1:
- Download the updated version of Chapter 9 from itch.io, just like the Android version, but for your platform (PC or Mac).
- Load your save file and play until you return to the main menu.
- Your save file is now fixed.
Option 2:
If you don’t want to re-download the full 8GB game:
- Download the two “script” files provided in the attachment.
- Navigate to the following folder on your computer:
\CompanionofDarkness-Chapter9-pc\game - Replace the existing files with the ones you downloaded.
- Start the game, load your save file, and play until you return to the main menu.
- Your save file should now be fixed without needing to download the full game again.

Games is mainly story based. The story is pleasant and the plot is well build.
Animations feel very mechanical at start but get better over time (season 2 feels more as some technical show off but well, it is what it is). Too much focus on the camera movements and zooming with the animations and not enough on trying to make the scene sexy/erotic.
Storyline is well balanced between plot roll out, relations build, action scenes and some sex scenes.
