Romance
Added a new romance scene featuring Melany and The Witness.
Added camera-focused animations during the new Melany and Pleu-G romance scene. This feature will be added to older scenes where appropriate as well as cinematics and grabs.
Character Creator
Added a Naked Mode toggle to the Character Creator, accessible through Tattoos and Body Shapes, so players can undress Melany without switching to the Equipment tab and manually removing items.
Added “Emoji” Tattoo set.
Gameplay
Added a new ledge-climbing ability that allows Melany to climb obstacles up to 5.7 meters high. Different animations are used for varying ledge heights, including 3.7-meter climbs and additional variations are possible in future updates.
Reworked the interaction system. Highlighted objects now display their icon, name, stats and rarity-based color. The same system supports contextual actions such as climbing and more with distinct colors for special interactions such as yellow for in-game currency.
Expanded Level 2 and restructured it into three main areas: Starting Zone, Cave and Boss Arena.
Starting Zone: Updated the terrain to reduce unnecessary backtracking between objectives. Added new houses, loot and environmental details.
Cave: Reworked the crawlspace into a more direct passage leading to the quest objective. Added a new rope for climbing out and an additional objective to follow and inspect blood trails. Melany’s parasite ability now unlocks inside the cave after the Spider encounter.
Boss Arena: Expanded the terrain in front of the arena and added a manual checkpoint.
Extended Level 3 with a new facility entrance and additional terrain and environmental design inside the facility.
Updated cinematic sequences to play in real time. For example: the Spider now spawns during gameplay instead of appearing in a separate cinematic while the player loses control of Melany.
Reworked the long-distance communication system. When a dialogue begins, Melany now receives a connection notification displaying the caller’s name for a few seconds. The UI remains hidden afterward until another connection or interruption occurs, rather than staying visible continuously. Added connection visual effects to reinforce the biopunk communication system and its narrative role, therefore reworking some of the starting dialogues to explain how it fits the Sombionic universe.
Added a sector-based environment system that dynamically enables and disables areas outside the player’s view to improve performance.
Miscellaneous
Updated the terrain shader to give muscle and meat textures a more organic and biopunk appearance. The shader also supports rain and puddle effects planned for the upcoming Swamp level.
Added a wearable visibility system that allows specific equipment types to be shown or hidden. Naked Mode is currently available through Item Shop > Body Customization.
UI
Added an option under Settings > Menu > Gameplay to hide quest markers.
Improved quest marker visuals with a glow effect and a new exclamation mark icon for better visibility.
Added an NPC interaction UI that appears when interacting with The Witness and The Witness Eye.
Removed the crosshair during grab animations.
Fixes
Fixed an issue where dragging one item over another caused the dragged item’s icon to disappear until the drag operation was completed. Both item icons now remain visible.
Fixed an issue where the save path was not changing when going from Level 2 to Level 3.
Fixed an issue where game settings were not loaded in the splash scene this was preventing menu music from playing correctly.
