Golden Hours is a story-driven adult visual novel set in Pinewood Hollow, a small town of 3,200 people where everyone knows your name before you’ve introduced yourself.

You inherit a broken motel from your uncle Buck and have one year to save it before a corporation tears it down. Along the way you’ll renovate the motel, explore the town freely, uncover a mystery that goes deeper than expected, and build relationships with the townsfolk, each with their own story, their own secrets, and fully animated adult scenes.

Also there’s a cat. He doesn’t like you yet.​

Town Comes Alive
Characters now follow daily schedules and move around town: the café, the bar, the park and more. Character portraits on the map show who is where right now. Evening and night versions of locations and scenes, so the town looks right at every hour.
New locations and new conversations in the park.
Romance scenes are no longer locked to evening or night. If she’s there, the scene plays and time skips ahead.
Story pacing: up to two story moments per character per day.

New Phone
New phone button on the map. Riley, Summer, Jade, Dolly, Scarlett and Victoria text you once you’re close enough. Replying raises your relationship, and some messages hint at what’s next in their story.
Harriet texts you a warning when Biscuit is about to run out of food.

Full UI Redesign
Main menu, preferences, map, HUD and journal all redesigned. New icons for every item and location.
Story markers on the map and in location menus point to the next quest step and to first-time scenes.
Quest descriptions now always tell you what to do next.
Quest steps are always in a location’s main menu, never hidden in submenus.
New option to turn particle effects on or off.

Story and Quests
New quest, and several older quests reworked and expanded.
The Guest in Room 7: the trap night is now a stealth minigame with three different endings.
New dialogue throughout the game, and many older lines rewritten and improved.
Quest items can no longer be given away as gifts by mistake.

New Scenes
Summer, Jade and Victoria: new scenes.
Dolly: two new scenes.
Summer: new fitting-room moment at the vintage shop.

Minigames Rebuilt
Every minigame rebuilt from scratch: quicker, more fun and less repetitive.
Scene minigame redesigned so the scene itself stays visible: progress bar at the top, speech bubble in the corner, new buttons and icons.
New Hold Your Breath minigame: hide in a closet and keep quiet while the trap is set. Includes a Skip button.

Visual Effects and Sound
Characters react on screen: they jump when happy, shake when angry and flinch when startled.
Animated text on key lines.
Particle effects: leaves in the park by day, fireflies at night, dust in the vintage shop and the motel lobby.
Improved images, including the map and several characters.
Ambient sound for locations, doorbells and doors in shops, and new UI sounds.

Bug Fixes
Fixed overlapping character images in older scenes. Fixed the screen flashing when picking an option that keeps you in the same place. Fixed a Dolly conversation that could block her story. Fixed a crash in Summer’s dates. Many smaller bug fixes.
