Portal Pain
The Academy event where the portal went down was causing people trouble, so we’ve added a bunch of extra failsafes and quality of life improvements.
Ectoplasm is actually called ectoplasm now, not just ‘wad of slime’.
The receptionist won’t get bored of watching you, so you won’t just be standing next to her wondering why the quest isn’t completing.
After you have the ectoplasm, the receptionist will (repeatedly) offer to cast a spell to solve the semen issue. But, accepting this gets… messy. Especially if worn condoms are enabled.
Nifty Magic Trick
New learnable magic spell unlocks a random worn locked item of clothing. Doesn’t work on items locked by a specific key, if you didn’t buy that first level of bondage protection.
Portal Panic!
With Game Hates You enabled, and a negative luck modifier, and a VERY unlucky roll (1% for each point of negative luck), when you try to travel between regions with the warp portal, you’ll instead get a ‘bad teleport’ that teleports you somewhere very inconvenient. This also gives you +5 to your luck modifier, so it shouldn’t just keep happening.

Fixes
Setting roguelike saving to ‘never’ no longer makes the save and load buttons disappear from the GUI, and no longer causes a weird issue when quitting the game where it saves just as it quits, so then you’re left trying to re-open a game that is immediately quitting itself.
The missing ‘sex can cause fainting’ handicap has been added to the handicaps menu.
Missing handicap menu art and incorrect text was all fixed.
The Neuromancer no longer only does her sissy hypnosis if you’re already mentally committed to fully exposing skirts and underwear. Now there’s a random chance she prioritises it.
When stuck in the hotel hole-in-the-wall getting fucked by a train of guys, fixed some incorrect flavour telling you that they were using condoms when they were not, or vice-versa.
After banishing the witch’s target but her not yet having lost interest in you and then noticing you again, asking her to teach you something useful again will complete the quest, rather then cause her to just give you a new target.
Inserting a toy with the ‘refreshment’ property no longer causes a programming error due to the game trying to check whether the lubricant, rather than the sex toy, is blessed.
Tried to address an issue where the player could become a princess on the throne again when they’d already recently finished being a princess.
Fixed a bug where stripping off your clothing to wear a swimsuit to dive into the Academy swimming pool before Barbara, also removed your headgear, which could even reset some headgear quests.
The shopkeeper no longer starts off giving you a discount on the first item you buy. Also, examining an item for sale that is currently discounted now has an extra line of description telling you this, to help you understand why it’s so cheap.

How to install and run Trap Quest!
If you have no idea what that is and a friend just recommended it to you and/or you’re underage, they are a bad friend and you should turn away.
Moving on to the actual guide:
Step 1. Be over 18 (legal minimum).
Note: 21 is the recommended age.
Step 2. Look for a version of the game.
Note: The latest should do the trick. Go to the main page ( http://trapquest.com/) and look at the latest dev blog posts, most of them are new versions.
Step 3. Choose your version
One of the three drawn versions or the porn version.
The drawn ones use drawn and 3d modeled (explicit images) and the other contains porn (photographic) images. Mostly. You can see a summary of the different verisons here.
Note: Click on the version you want.
Step 4. Download it through your browser.
Note: Because we all know you can’t be bothered to download MEGASync.
Step 5. Wait.
Step 6. That’s all you need to know about downloading Trap Quest!

Step 7. Now, stuff gets messy.

Now follow the Windows instructions and run Windows Git.
For Linux, follow the WINE instructions above if at all possible. If not, you can try to use Gargoyle, but there have been reports that Gargoyle struggles to handle the size of the game and can spontaneously crash.

Step 8.
a) Open the zip file you just downloaded (If you used Git, that is.)
b) Make a folder on your computer, “copy and paste” or “cut and paste” every file inside the zip into the folder on your computer.
c) Run the interpreter (e.g., git.exe or gargoyle-free)
d) Find your TQ file (it’s a file ending in .gblorb) and open it with the interpreter program (git, or gargoyle, or whatever you chose).
Tip: Just move the (darn/porn) Trapquest game files to the folder where git.exe is located.
e) Enjoy playing.
On Android:

Consider switching to Android if you want to have more control over what you can do with your phone!
Playing the game:
The game asks a few questions and presents some initial menus where you choose different options. If it’s your first time playing, try the tutorial that’s offered. The actual game has been reworked to make it easier to play with point and click and less typing of text commands like, “submit”, or “kick gladiator” or “wipe face with pink bikini”.
To unlock Debug Mode:
To unlock the content (including the ability to use ‘debug’):
1) Download the attached gblorb file into the same folder as Trap Quest.
2) Open this file with your interpreter as if it was a game. For most of you, this means opening it with Git.exe.
3) You’re done! ‘Debug’ should now work in the main game, and this is the best way to check that the file is working correctly.
After using this file you do NOT need to also use the beta unlock file; the alpha file unlocks everything.
In fact using the beta unlock file will override what you’ve done here and prevent the use of debug commands.
This file will not work on any versions of the game published before May 2019.
To update the file in the middle of a playthrough, type ‘update donators file’.
