Maou-Sama [Week 4 v0.3] [Neko-Hime]

Generally speaking I have enjoyed (most) of this game’s content. I do think the story is VERY all over the place. I don’t think they ever actually had a consistent villain that was a credible “world ending” threat to make the hook for the premise happen. When they did decide on it, it turns out to be MC’s father… or his brother? Or himself! He ended up being his own father, somehow. He ended up having a thing for his goddess mother (literal statement, not some simp commentary) who NEVER actually gets anywhere [Paetron rules; and in this context complete BS because look at ANY point of this game. There’s NO chance in hell – which you actually can go to/rule by the way – that someone would take any of the game as realistic. At all. There IS a grey area in the law that you’re all so damn concerned about as far as certain content. Mostly that’s COMMON SENSE!]

I would have added a point system visibly that ran through the WHOLE THING. Not just the last week, randomly at the beginning you get told what points you have. That makes it so much harder to not just scrap the entire game – which WOULD be a pain in the arse to restart because of the structure you’ve put out the content by the way, and most players just won’t bother doing it – TO be told afterward that I did not sleep with Sandy or Sumire (even though I slept with every single girl that would even remotely give me the option in the game… so WTF?) was jarring. The paths to each ending should just BE there. Open in general, since the game is going to be a PITA to get to the end of, with 4 separate and sometimes barely functional end builds to download. I should get to choose whether I want to 1) Be human and stick to humans, 2) Be the ruler of the underworld and stick to the hell people including vampires, 3) Be the Furry God, 4) BE the TITLE CHARACTER!!! = IE: You DO NOT get to deny that last option. For ANY reason. At all. I don’t give a crap about some points system you’ve tried to make us concerned with. Hell; have the time bandit girl come back and DO a reset as an optional question TO THE PLAYER that will ensure they get the option to Choose to Be The Moau Sama. Again: It’s the Title of. Your. Fucking. Game! It should be considered the DEFAULT option. The Canon Ending. It should NOT have to be earned. You “earn” it by even being able to viably GET to the ending, and by being willing to put up with the constraint in having downloaded 4 SEPARATE chunks – and WAITING to have done so. Consistently, while you’ve worked on this damned game. That alone is not a small ask. Nor am I belittling the amount of work your team has done, to be clear. I am asking that my loyalty to the game be at least passively acknowledged by the game itself. As a sign you as Devs are both aware of, and grateful for a continued audience.

End of the day, I like multiple ends. I am okay with the option to have them, but you DO NOT need to block any of them off – or if you do, you need to be VERY clear about WHY. Anything other than that and you’re just being massively disrespectful to your core audience. To their care for the story, their choices in game, and their time. This is a game about building, and keeping a very, VERY out of left field family. You have to assume that anyone that’s been down for it long enough to get to the actual end, does NOT want to be denied the right to own EVERY. DAMNED. GIRL. In a HAREM. >.<

To be clear; it's a decent game… with WAY too many girls to keep any real track of, who are for the most part (other than the Lolli tendency but that's a personal taste thing that doesn't happen to appeal to me – and is one of the Paetron concerns Btw) attractive to very well done. The story does NOT need to be anywhere near as complex as you made it. Future selves or daughters really DON'T need to be involved – or should be breedable like the rest really, come on… – and other than that I did enjoy my time playing it. The Biggest and perhaps only way you could really fuck things up in general is to obfuscate the TRUE ending. Unnecessarily.

If you create any other game in general; I'd be down to see where it goes. I do like Harems and Pregnancy content. So for the most part outside of a very few stumbles, I'm sold. Wherever you go from here. But for Gods' Sake… don't involve a Mom character if you're just going to cock tease with her. That did nothing but piss me off. (It's never really clear if you won her over, and I think for the most part she would have been better off in the background. Yes saved, but strictly ignored – a fair chunk of your audience are Free To Play. Not Subscribers, and while I can respect including such content, it does peeve off the people when characters that are clearly marked FOR such content, are included where there is otherwise no actual ability to access her full story arc. It's fine she's in the game, but if she's for Subs only, then leave her out of the story unless the player is a Subscriber is what I'm saying)
