Dark Magic [v0.17.1] [F.Lord]

I’ve actually played this one a fair few times… and I disagree with you Licorice.

Any game that needs modding to be enjoyed, wasn’t designed right in the first place (though let me say I respect your ability to be thorough, and cohesive in your reasoning. I don’t discount your opinion. I’m simply expressing my own, from my experiences with the game, and it happens to match a few of the commenters above)

So far, the storyline is actually fragmented as fuck.

The MC begins in jail for an unknown crime (when they all know that he’s the “lone” male on the island – though Tomoho has a kid; and we WILL get to that – and is released with a slap on the wrist so that everyone can start just treating him like shit. Why? If he’s the lone man and you all know you want cock; he should be the MOST VALUABLE thing on the freaking island. Period. I’m not even sure what he did was actually a “crime” per say. I forget what it was exactly. It’s been a while since I restarted, and I think it was more implied to be, than directly mentioned anyway.

You end up getting involved in trying to join the city guard or the island knights or whatever the hell; because another force is going to rise(?) = When, exactly??? Seriously – it’s JUST an excuse for the stat system and the females who are guards to look down on him/kick his arse. While also eventually fucking the hell out of MC and demanding his baby inside of them [Which again; when exactly is that going to happen??? It’s a part of the genre’s endgame as a whole…]

There are too many women in general; and it takes FOREVER to freaking get anywhere with them. Even with the Magic (which frankly I think you can maybe upgrade twice – so of course there’s a limit to what you can pull off per day, and only a set way to regenerate it, which requires resources that COST YOU MONEY to get… which you also need for all the other errands to get even a crumb of pussy. But no matter how many times you do manage to come inside of a girl = no kids will happen, as far as I have played. The fact you can use the corruption power like all of three times a day before you have to pay the water ghost for a recharge in dreamland, slows the pacing WAY the hell down. Sleeping doesn’t regenerate it completely. Which frankly, it really should have.

Tomoho is even more of an offense in that regard – and you paint her and MC’s mother as wild sluts, but make them cock block the ONLY male on the fucking island. For SO LONG. Why? (You can’t even get Tomoho preggers, though again that kid is proof that she SHOULD be fertile : / ) The nurse and the school do NOT need to be there. Period. It’s just random kinky shit that should NOT be necessary to progress the plot.

If you can stick out the game long enough to get to the part where you actually join the damned guard; it involves both the princess (who ALSO should NOT exist if there is ONLY one fucking man on the island – until MC gets to the point of becoming the KING!!!) and the Queen… who even if she MIGHT one day (eventually, after all of our respective balls have well frozen off) deign to fuck the MC as her chosen True Champion/King Consort, good luck waiting that long. She’s unnecessarily prudish and judgmental to her daughter, considering she herself HAS one. Somehow…

There’s the point that half way through the story it’s introduced as a dark fairy, and a fucking orc, for Futa Content that does not need to be there [and implied that MC is threatened in a coming war, where he will be directly a target] but that’s as far as I ever really got. Just the BEGINNINGS of entering the test to become a guard of the island – and that was SEVERAL long awaited updates ago now. Fuck knows what’s changed; but apparently some of the beginning has just now been reworked in the changelogs, so it’s probably not going to recognize save files. People DO NOT want to start a game over again a hundred times. Especially one that BARELY has a functional story line; continually wants to make fun of what should be and may at some LONG DISTANT future end up the most powerful character in the game, has way, WAY too many women who barely seem interested in what we’re all here for, with way too many requirements to get in the way of the sex scenes. All of this is what most players will take some level of umbrage with. Myself very much included.

It wouldn’t be a bad game, and it does have some moments, if it would lay off the focus on incest, defrost the freaking queen and focus on the actual storyline. To the point of building a genuine harem/royally allowed and desired, with an actual bloodline established. As the end game. If it would deign to prove the red fairy isn’t the “evil” that most think she is, and let MC actually conquer both the Orc warrioress, and the Dark Fairy (I’d even take within the next three to five years, at that fully realized end of the game. I might believe I could live to see happen) but as it stands… it’s a LOT of unnecessary padding. Some decently attractive renders, not enough actual sex, and no consequences for any sex that does happen. It doesn’t even happen for the most part with most of the MOST desirable characters. The game was already started I believe at least two years before this one and I doubt we’re even at the actual midpoint. That’s not really a great sign overall.

The quests have become overly convoluted, the list of those to persue far too long and are we EVER going to find out what the fuck is actually wrong with the Miner girl; or are we supposed to just settle for fucking her older sister as she keels off? Because as far as I know that plot point was somewhat interesting, but WAY too mysterious and probably going nowhere soon.

When will they upload version 0.17 approximately?
